Options analysis

Sometimes in life there are big decisions to be made. When deciding between two options there are often many different aspects of that decision that need to be considered.

For example, when buying a house one property may have a larger garden, an alternative may be cheaper but a third may have more floor space. This could also be true for something like…er career choices.

When making these decisions I often think of this like a an equaliser on a stereo, and being able to visualise all of the options in this manner would help me to make the right choice. My first attempt at doing so included bar charts, but it was hard to then compare each option.

I arrived at the following, and then spent a brief amount of time making it configurable so other people can make use of it too. If it helps one person then it’ll be worth the time.
