I needed a website to keep my blogs live and so thought I’d keep an online profile here too.

I’m a developer, interested in applied aspects of football statistics, machine learning and computer vision.

Timeline

I read my cv and found I was writing about the things I thought would help me in getting a job (not that I am looking).

I decided I’d rather mention the things I’m proud of, and a timeline was a good format for that.

  Started work (in a papershop)

  Age 15

  Ran the papershop every morning before school

• 

  Age 15

  Played for Bristol Rovers youth team

• 

  Age 15.5

  Setup video conferencing between British Aerospace and Nasa while on work experience

• 

  Age 21

  Graduated

• 

  Age 21.5

  Got a job at JP Morgan Investment Bank

• 

  Age 27

  Moved to one of the UK’s most mature eXtreme Programming/agile development environments. WDS

• 

  Age 28

  Worked on and managed a team productionising the machine learning output of world renown research centres (Predominantly XRCE and PARC)

• 

  Age 32

  Started working for the worlds leading football data company
